Why prices differ on this route
The Sparpreis depends on the quota left on the individual train, and there is one roughly every half hour during the day. Two departures half an hour apart can therefore cost different amounts.
You can only split at the stops your train actually serves: Berlin-Spandau, Wittenberge, Ludwigslust and Büchen. With a split you stay on the same train and travel on two ordinary DB tickets, each tied to that train.
Besides the split in the middle, the search also checks a longer ticket. If your train runs on past Hamburg, a ticket to a later stop can cost less, even though you get off in Hamburg.
Tips for this route
